Gold slice collection
Another simple concept that seems to work very well.
The bangle was the first in this collection. I was looking for something solid and simple but involving a little gold detail and a subtly set diamond. The ring soon followed and then the pendants and, as often happens, someone asked me to come up with a pair of earrings so that they could buy a set.
I still like the bangles best because they feel and look so solid and heavy. I've always favoured these kind of positive lines and the weight in the hand speaks of quality. (I once had an agent who would 'accidentally' drop one of these on the shop floor and then let the shop owner pick it up. It generally illicited a comment about the weight and sold the bangle....and gave me a little extra work in taking all the dents out of the sample!) Personally, I wouldn't stoop to such low tricks, but I am, you notice, prepared to tell you about it.
The diamonds in the bangles are 3pt brilliants and in all the other pieces I use 1pt stones. As they are quite small, I make sure that they are of a good quality so that you do get a bright sparkle out of them. I have been asked to make the choker with larger diamonds once or twice and it looks particularly good with 8pt stones, so I'm happy to accommodate you if you want a little more sparkle in any of these designs.
