The gold stripe collection
I tend to build my jewellery heavy. This has been great through the years as it's given my work the edge over other jewellery that feels light and hollow in comparison. Great, that is, until the price of precious metals went through the roof!
The jewellery in this collection has that characteristic solid feel to it. It is basically good quality simple jewellery but embellished with a stripe of solid gold.
The rings, particularly, have been popular. Lots of people want a plainish silver ring but with a little bit of detail or something a little unusual about it to make it stand out from the crowd. The gold stripe achieves this whilst keeping it understated. It's a classic rather than a flashy look.
The rings shown are the reversed D section designs but there is also an oval section collection (bit of a tongue-twister!) and, for that matter, I can put a gold stripe across any other section of ring or bangle.
It's probably worth saying that the stripes are solid gold and not gold plating, so they're not going to wear off. I also run a thin groove between the silver and gold so as to help differentiate the metals and make the stripe stand out.
