These rings began as part of a stacking set that I designed for a customer. They are carved from a 3mm reversed D section to create a wave-crest that runs around the ring. This throws up a series of elegant curved surfaces which, in the original set, were intended to act as a counterpoint to the more geometric lines of the other rings.
Unfortunately, what with all those reflecting curves, they've proved incredibly difficult to photograph in a way that catches the elegant simplicity of the form and doesn't just make them look confused. I've done my best though and added some images that show the rings in sets mounted on a glass rod. You can see these by clicking the thumbnails below.
