More about new designs.
As Bob Dylan sung in Maggies Farm: "I've got a head full of ideas and it's driving me insane"
I'm always developing new designs but I seldom have the time to get them into production as fast as I would like. It's a very time consuming business making the models and moulds for the first piece of a new design and then, often they don't work out as you hoped and the process is put back further as I struggle to adapt the idea and make it viable.
The Daisy collection above was inspired by a perfume bottle lid that was handed to me by a client. She wanted a pendant to match it as she loved the simple lines. It's almost a childish shape; the sort of thing that you might find made out of bendy plastic in the Early Learning Centre. Jacqui has now appropriated all the early samples and gets comments about the jewellery evey time she wears it!
Many of the other new pieces are developments of designs that are already in the range. They tend to arise when someone orders a variation on an existing design and, having made one, it's easy to set it up to make another. The Moonrise necklace is based around a half-moon shaped diamond that I bought from my dealer a few years ago in a fit of optomism. I've since designed an even bigger and more spectacular one for a private client, using a half carat diamond and a large peridot.
There's always more on the way and so please bookmark this page if you're interested in catching the new designs as they appear.
As with everything on the site I will refund your payment immediately and without question if you don't like your jewellery when you receive it. |
