Gold & silver reticulated earrings
|
| |
Here we have: |
Silver and gold stud earrings. (More details below) |
| What's the story : |
I set up the gold bits for the Daisy range but, in the end, decided to use plain domes instead. |
| Dimensions: |
large: 9.5mm, small: 7mm |
| Details: |
The silver surrounds on these earrings are little cups with a hole in the middle. The earring post is on the gold bit and posts through the hole. A girl must have options and this means that you can just wear the gold part if you want the silver surround that day. |

The surface of the gold is reticulated. This is achieved by melting the surface and then letting it contracts and wrinkle as it cools. I've used this technique to make the original and these are cast from that mould so the pattern or each earring is identical. |
