Shoes
Making shoes is not easy.
Every night for many nights I laid out all the materials and waited for those elves, but in the morning, there was the silver and gold, still lying on the bench.
They still managed to polish off the biscuits and milk I left out for them though.
I don't really resent it: making something out of rigid materials that should be made from leather and cloth is quite a challenge. This is why, when I make one, I tend to set it up as a casting so that I never have to do it again and this means that I may, one day, get a return on the initial investment of time that goes into making the first one.
I do other shoes and, in fact, offer them as part of my Wedding Service. You can see one on that page if you follow the link. I am happy to model any shoe for you for reasonable fee. This would cover some of the cost of the initial work and, once it's set up, you can order repeats at a very reasonable price. They make fantastic gifts for bridesmaids or can provide you with a memento of your wedding in the form of those lovely shoes that cramped your feet into murderous agony on that special day.
If you are interested in commissioning more riding jewellery then I can make riding hats, riding crops, saddles, horse shoes, snaffle bits; whatever you like.
Let me know.
