Lapis torque ring
I had a client who had picked up some moonstones on her travels and wanted to set them into a ring to give her son as he commenced his own travels.
This was a prototype that I made up to test the concept that we were discussing.
The ring is just under 8mm wide in a reversed D section and there’s a fine, inlaid gold wire running between the two gold tube settings that contain the lapis lazuli. The stones are cut and polished flush with the setting.
Suitable for a man or a woman, it’s an unusual piece and a one-off.
Currently a size S 1/2 and, although I can’t size it, it does flex a little, and so it could be eased up or down a size if necessary.
I can make you one to a different size but it would cost you a little more. Please contact me if you’re interested.
